My name is Helen and a few years ago I looked like this…

Me Before
Me Before

I decided to lose weight, and discovered fitness. Then I discovered that I actually had quite a passion for it. Somewhere along the journey I stumbled across Obstacle Course Racing and an obsession was born.

In 2014 I decided to do one race a month (not just OCR) for a charity chosen for me by a friend battling cancer. Sadly she passed away before the end of the year, but I continued in her name and ended up racing 33 races and raising over £4000.

During the year we launched this blog and I wrote about all of the races I had run, along with other bits and pieces. The blogs from my year of challenges can be found in tabs at the top of the home page.

Now I intend to continue to take on challenges when I can, but probably not as often or as many as I would like, since I do have family and friends who would quite like to see me from time to time, and I will continue to write about the things I do. I am laying off the charity work for this year, but I doubt 2014 will be the last of it… watch this space.

I hope you enjoy my ramblings.
